01 — Where it started

White Glove had been moving families for years, but sales had stalled. Ad spend wasn’t efficient, conversion was sliding, and the website looked older than the trucks. Meanwhile national chains and aggressive local movers were fighting for the same customers on the same search pages.

02 — What was really going on

Nobody shops for a mover the way they shop for shoes. They are handing strangers everything they own. The real questions are: will my things arrive in one piece, and will the price change on moving day? Every touchpoint had to answer those questions before the quote. That’s why the brand’s posts led with “Top Rated Moving Company” and “No Surprise Charges.”

03 — What I did

  1. 01

Rebuilt the storefront. Selected and managed a new agency to rebrand and redesign the website, mobile-first and built to convert.

  2. 02

Rebalanced the spend. Moved a $600K Google and Meta budget toward what booked moves, and restructured lead scoring around high-intent local searchers.

  3. 03

Made Yelp a real channel. Turned a listing into a lead source: 274 leads in 30 days, 245 of them straight from ads.

  4. 04

Built SEO that compounds. An organic program that grew site traffic 27% and reduced dependence on paid.

  5. 05

Went upstream. A referral program with the people who hear about a move first: two brokerages with 20+ realtors, three properties and a senior care facility.

04 — The call that mattered

Going upstream. Paid search catches people the day they need a mover. Realtors, property managers and senior living staff know about the move before the customer ever opens Google. The referral program put White Glove in the conversation first.

05 — What changed

  • Sales up 33.85% within one year.
  • Marketing ROI up 17.9% through spend reallocation and structural changes.
  • Website traffic up 27% from SEO.
  • Yelp: 274 leads in 30 days, 89% of them attributed to ads. Yelp reported total leads up 844% for the period.
  • A moving-discount sweepstakes post reached 218K views organically, proof the brand could pull on its own.

06 — What I'd tell you

In a trust purchase, your website and your reviews are your sales team. Fix them before you buy more traffic.
